How to set up a reach and wash system in van?

Wednesday, November 28th, 2012

I’m looking at start my own window cleaning business using the reach and wash system. Does anyone know any sites or videos on YouTube etc that you can watch or read how to set it up in the van?
Serious answers only please
Thanks :-)

Mount a water tank to a trailer or pickup bed. Water tanks come in different sizes. A 225-gallon tank will usually suffice for this purpose. Two straps should be wrapped around the circumference of the water tank. The ends of each strap contain two bolt holes which should be bolted to the platform. Tighten four 3-inch bolts into each bolt hole with a crescent wrench. The water tank can be filled with fresh water from any water source.

Set a soap tank next to the water tank. A soap tank can range in volume, but a 35-gallon tank will often suffice. The soap tank can be mounted like the water tank, and will have its own straps. You can connect a separate hose and nozzle to the soap tank for soap dispersal, or connect the soap tank to the pressure washer. Not all pressure washers are designed for soap intake.

Mount a gas-driven pressure washer with at least 3500 to 4000 PSI to the platform. The pressure washer engine should provide13 horsepower or higher. Use a pressure washer with a positive-feed generator. A positive-feed generator is responsible for producing all pressure, therefore it doesn’t require any pressure build up from the water source.

Connect a hose from the water tank to the pressure washer. The pressure washer will have two hose connections for water: the traditional water hose connection that sucks water in, and the "Quick" connect that pushes pressurized water out. Connect the hose from the water tank into the traditional water hose connection inlet.

Connect additional hose for spraying customers’ vehicles to the Quick connection outlet on the pressure washer.

Connect a pressure nozzle to the loose end of the hose screwed into the pressure washer’s Quick connection. The nozzle controls the width of water disbursal. For example, a 25-degree nozzle has a wider disbursal range than a 10-degree nozzle.

Purchase a Wet/Dry shop vacuum and high-powered carpet extractor or spotter. These will help to clean interiors and carpets. Vacuums don’t typically come with mounting equipment, so you will have to just tie them down or set them in a place where they are secure.

Place a container on the mobile platform or in the back of your vehicle for additional supplies such as brushes, rags, dry towels, tire dressing, glass cleaner, upholstery cleaner, paper floor mats and deodorizers or spray scents.

Tips & Warnings

You can avoid buying the water or soap tanks. The pressure washer can connect to any water source on location with just a hose. You can manually pour soap on the vehicle rather than using a soap tank. You can also have two water tanks, instead of one water tank and one soap tank. One water tank will have a water and soap mix, the other will be filled with clean water. Instead of tanks, consider using large plastic barrels to save money.

Can oven cleaner be used on top of stove to get the burnt on stuff off from around the burns,on a gas stove?

Wednesday, November 28th, 2012

Never seen an answer to this one.I have useds gas ranges for years. They always seem to get that build up on them, food grease, etc. Is it safe to use oven cleaner on the burners to get this build up off?

I wouldn’t suggest it. Oven cleaner tends to remove the finish from metals, leaving them more suceptable to staining. One thing I found that works is liquid dish washer detergent. Put some around the burner (maybe use a a toothbrush so as not to make a mess), and let it sit over night. Wipe off with a damp cloth in the morning.

How can I Remove stain from my Kitchen ceramic Tiles?

Wednesday, November 28th, 2012

Trying to clean my kitchen’s Ceramic tiles . Does any one know a good way to clean stain from Ceramic tiles and how to prevent it in future.

Hi there, in my judgment Ceramic tiles are made from refined clay and other material. Maintenance is important through routine cleaning with mild soap and water. If you have some stains to remove, try a few of these suggestions to get your tile looking new again.
1.Clean the stained area with plain water and a soft cloth. Dry thoroughly.
2.Put on gloves. Use these to protect your hands even if the product is considered natural or non-toxic.
3.Mix borax and lemon juice together on a disposable plate or bowl. The consistency should be a paste-like substance. Rub onto the stain and allow it to dry completely. Rinse the ceramic tile with water and repeat until stain is gone.
4.Use a mixture of a vinegar and salt to make a paste. Apply to the rust stain and wait 4 to 5 hours and then rinse with hot water. Repeat as necessary.
5.Consider purchasing a Lustro Italiano cleaning kit. Apply to area with a moistened, soft cloth. This Lustro Italiano will remove the stain and not scratch surfaces.
These are the steps you want to follows remove the stain from the tile. If you want more information visit the website I search it on a net it helps me a lot if you were interested visit the website which is given below.

Cleaning with Vinegar?

Sunday, November 25th, 2012

Any one have any household cleaning tips that i can use Vinegar or maybe other household remedies…Im allergic to bleach so im looking to clean with things i have in my home.

I keep white vinegar in a spray bottle and use it all over the house for cleaning, wiping stuff off, spritzing the new puppys accidents and wiping up (doesn’t stink like pee afterwards). I use it on windows, floors, doors, counters and I add it to stinky wash, or wash I want super clean. It also helps, when used in the wash, as a softener in the dryer oddly enough. I use it for cleaning the bathrooms and rinsing my hair with for extra shine. Mix it with baking soda and your drains will not get clogged so easy and will smell better. Good for removing the smells from a room after a party, cooking fish or a smoker smoking in the house, by placing bowls of vinegar in a room. Also, if you place a bowl of vinegar in an oven overnight, makes it easier to clean in the morning. Can also be used in a microwave for removing burnt smells and by running the mw a minute or two, will remove smells and make it easier to scrape the accidents off. I know there are more, but those are the one I use pretty regular. Hope this helps you!

Fill your bathtub with enough hot water to cover the racks. dissolve a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of Cascade dishwasher powder in the water and add the racks.

Allow it to soak ……time depends on how dirty they are. the crud will wipe right off when they’ve soaked long enough.

How do I learn cleaning the house ?

Sunday, November 25th, 2012

I wana learn cleaning the house ? How I do it ?
How do I know when I should clean it and what includes in the "cleaning" ?

You seem to be getting razzed a bit for your question, but I think it’s a good one! You’d be surprised at how many people feel confused or generally ill-informed about housecleaning! Some of us, like me, learned a lot about cleaning from our moms – Thanks Mom!!! :-)

But if you are a beginner and wanting to learn, that is great. And there are a lot of "how to" books and guides out there to help you! You can search the internet or your local library for many free sources of information.

May I recommend by all time favorite cleaning book? It’s called "Home Comforts: The Art and Science of Keeping House" by Cheryl Mendelson. This is the greatest book that will tell you everything you will ever need to know about cleaning your home. I got mine for $5 at a used book store and I love it. It’s a big book, so consider it a reference, rather than a book you sit down and read cover to cover. But Cheryl has a few chapters on general housekeeping, cleaning, and getting yourself into a "routine". As I am a cleaning freak, I consider her my personal hero :-)

Hope this helps. Happy cleaning!

Is it safe to throw some bleach on a hard tile floor to get the in-between parts clean & white again?

Sunday, November 25th, 2012

Or do I have to use some kind of tile grout cleaner and get on my hands and knees? Or could I just dilute some bleach and throw it on the floor and let it sit a few minutes before mopping it up? What is the easiest way to do this?

bleach will do some good but, It is very abrasive to grout. Go to Home Depot and buy grout cleaner. After you have cleaned it really well use take the time to use a grout sealer on it.
